Highlights of TrailblazerDX ‘23

TrailblazerDX is a signature event in the Salesforce calendar that brings together ‘builders’ (admins, developers, architects, and others) to inspire them to innovate within their own enterprises using the Salesforce platform. It focuses on Salesforce’s more technical components, generally delving into features, product demos, and the product development roadmap, as well as interesting news. In this article, we’ll look at the most important TrailblazerDX ’23 upgrades!

1. GPT Einstein

Salesforce is releasing Einstein GPT, which will bring auto-generated AI content directly within the Salesforce platform, with use cases ranging from Slack to sales, service, marketing, commerce, and app builders. This is the world’s most powerful, intelligent, and generative CRM, increasing employee productivity and improving customer experiences.

Einstein GPT mixes public and private AI models with CRM data so that users may directly ask natural-language prompts (i.e. conversational queries) within Salesforce CRM. The end result? AI-generated content is delivered that continuously adjusts to changing client information and wants, saving users a significant amount of time.

What do we mean when we talk about public and private AI models? Einstein GPT contains:

Salesforce’s private AI models: These are the models produced by Salesforce and used by customers to use features from the Einstein technology layer.
Using OpenAI’s ChatGPT: Salesforce and OpenAI have partnered to provide enterprises with out-of-the-box generative AI capabilities with direct access to OpenAI’s enterprise-grade ChatGPT technology.
Bring along your own model: Because Einstein GPT is open and extensible, you can use it in conjunction with your own external model(s).
To absorb, harmonize, and unify all of a company’s customer data, data is poured into these models in real-time from Salesforce ‘clouds’ and the Salesforce Data Cloud (Genie).

 2. New Mascot

Flo the Flying Squirrel is the new mascot for Flow Builder and Flownatics worldwide! “Agile, hardworking, and ready to assist take your team to new heights,” Flo says.

 3. Flow Templates

Speaking of Flow, Salesforce has announced the availability of over 900 out-of-the-box Flow templates! You can begin building and automating faster by using templates that adhere to best practices and streamline business procedures.

4.User License for Salesforce Integration

Complimentary Salesforce Integration User Licenses were announced at TrailblazerDX during True to the Core! The problem of API-only licenses was discussed during a prior True to the Core discussion. In essence, the cost of licenses makes purchasing licenses to be utilized with numerous APIs and integrations prohibitively expensive. Having a license per API/integration, on the other hand, is best practice, as it gives you greater control and visibility over each API.

Starting March 14, 2023, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited edition orgs will receive five complimentary Salesforce Integration User Licenses, with extra licenses costing $10 each.

 5. Coach at the Trailhead

Trailhead Coach is an extension of Salesforce’s Trailhead platform, which offers a fun and free method to learn in-demand skills. This is a guided path for anyone interested in a career in the Salesforce ecosystem, from skills-based learning to automated interview possibilities.

The new Trailhead Coach contains the following features:
