Yet another certificate has been made available by Salesforce. This time, the focus is on people who are new to Salesforce! The Salesforce Associate exam is a first-level certification test that checks how much you know about Salesforce and what it can do. The test is made for workers who are new to Salesforce or haven’t used the app much before. There are 60 multiple-choice questions on the test, and you have 105 minutes to answer them.

The questions cover a wide range of topics, such as the basics of Salesforce, data modeling and management, security, automation, customization, and reports. You need a score of 65% or higher to pass the Salesforce Associate test. If you fail the test, you have 15 days to try again. Bypassing the Salesforce Associate test, you can show that you know a lot about Salesforce and improve your job prospects in the Salesforce community. It can also help you prepare for more complicated Salesforce Associate tests, like the Salesforce Administrator certification, which some people find hard. They can start their journey with this certification, which is easier than the other one even though it has the same number of questions and the same pass rate.

Trying to get a taste of the big ocean that is Salesforce can be stressful, and you might not know where to start or how to get certified. On top of that, there is always the fear of failing the test!

Here are some tips to help you pass the Salesforce Associate test the first time you take it

1. Learn about the license and what is expected of the person taking the test.

The topics that will be on the test are listed in the Salesforce Associate test Guide. Focus on Force also has a guide for this certification that lists the areas covered on the exam: Salesforce Ecosystem, Navigation, Data Model, Reporting, and Dashboards. Carefully read the guide and make sure you understand each point.

2. Sign up for the Salesforce Associate test before you start studying, and then make a plan.

When you have a real test date to work towards, you can prepare more realistically. Focus on Force tells test takers to decide if they want to take the exam in person or online, sign up for the certification exam using WebAssessor, and then make a plan for studying. Focus on Force’s tool is useful for making one. Set clear goals, make a study plan, get rid of distractions, and if you need to, use visual tools like diagrams, charts, and graphs. Take breaks in between.

3. Give yourself plenty of time to prepare.

Giving yourself enough time to study is important if you want to do well on any test. Don’t use this as a quick lesson. So many new terms will be hard for people who are just starting out. So focus on the things that you find hardest or that are more important on the test. The best plan is to spend at least a week on each subject.

4. Put what you’ve learned to use.

Salesforce is a hands-on tool, so it’s important to use the Salesforce system as much as possible to remember what you learn. You can practise and get hands-on practice with Salesforce Developer Edition or the Trailhead Playground Org.

5. Don’t get worked up.

The Salesforce Associate test is for people who are just starting out and have no or less than six months of practise with the app. So don’t worry about the small details or the huge number of features. Focus on Force materials were made with newbies in mind. They teach just the right amount of Salesforce information so that test takers feel safe as they learn. Just make good use of your time: a study in small, doable chunks and take breaks often to keep from getting burned out.

6. Take practice Salesforce Associate tests to find out where you do well and where you need to improve.

Practice tests are made to help you get ready for the real test by showing you what to expect. Take as many practice tests as you can to get a feel for how the real test will be set up and to find out where you need to focus more. Focus on Force practice tests mimic the style, amount of challenge, and time limit of the real Salesforce Associate certification exam.

7. Look at a few ideas early on, before you start to prepare.

You can get a head start if you read through the Salesforce page ahead of time. Before getting into the details, learning about what Salesforce is and what tools (called “clouds”) it offers as part of the Customer 360 Platform is a good way to get to know the technology.

8. Take notes on each subject as you work on it.

Taking notes is only one part of a good way to learn. It also helps a lot to go over them again at the end of every week. Reviewing helps you remember. Start by making a list of the main topics and goals of the test. Then, use an organised way to take notes, like sketching or mind mapping, to organise your thoughts and see how they relate to each other. Focus on Force puts these tools in the study guides to make it easy for people to find them. Also, try to summarise key ideas and meanings in your own words to help you understand and remember them.

9. Stay cool and clear-headed.

Take slow breaths, stay cool, and read each question carefully on the day of the test. Don’t rush through the test, and make sure you understand each question before you answer. Even though most questions are based on a situation, they all have something to do with a feature or tool. There are also a lot of straightforward questions. None of the answers have a complicated answer, so stay cool and think clearly.

10. If this is your first Salesforce test, you’re not the only one.

By joining online groups and boards, you can meet people who are like you and get tips and advice on how to pass the test. You can meet with other people and ask questions through the Salesforce Trailblazer Community or the Focus on Force Forums. You can also go to Salesforce user groups or classes in your area to meet other people and learn from them.

Keep in mind that you may pass the Salesforce Associate test on your first attempt with adequate study and strategy. Good luck!
